This one made me cry

I am one of those who read the original POTO in school, but - at the time - had a real problem relating to the main character. This is the first derivative work I have read that Truly allows a glimpse into an almost split personality in a way that made SENSE. I can hardly wait for the sequel.

Very good version, but....

What I really liked about this story was being able to read all the phantoms thoughts and there were many of them. In fact, too many. This is one of the most wordy and detailed novels I have ever read. I did not like Christine's character at all. She was too whiny, too sweet, too indecisive and way too childish. And I lost count of how many times Erik bought her gifts and the details that were put into buying each gift. Raoul was a nuisance and too arrogant and Erik too love sick.
So if your one of their kind of readers that loves a lot of details. A lot of conversation sand I do mean a lot

Great story, but at the end, it said to continue the story with Volume Six and I was disappointed that there isn't a Volume Six

I am left wondering what happened next in this beautiful, yet sad love story. Ever since I saw the Phantom of the Opera Movie with Gerard Butler, the story and the beautiful music has become an obsession and I can't get enough of it.
